Gray, Aurilla - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Waynetown, April 12 – Mrs. Aurilla Gray, 88, widow of Ben TR Gray and oldest woman of Wayne Township, died at 6:30 a.m. today at her home here. Long in failing health, she fell last November and broke a hip, since when she had been an invalid. Born at Wallace, Feb 16, 1851, it was said she had seen three different court houses at Covington. Her marriage took place in 1874, since when she had lived here; Mr. Gray died many years ago.  A daughter, Mrs. Nellie Grenard, who lived with her, survives. The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Baptist Church of which she was a member with Rev. IC Overman officiating; burial in the Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
